Gifts for Foodies
It takes a particular sort of person to become a foodie. Often, they have an eye for detail and quality, making them particularly difficult to buy for. But not this year! As a professional foodie myself, I’ve curated the perfect gift guide that any foodie will appreciate.
Here are some of my favorites:
- Sourdough Bread Baking Kit: I recently started making my own sourdough and have been absolutely loving the process! If you have an aspiring baker in your life, this bread-baking kit has everything they need to make the perfect loaf. I also recommend grabbing a sourdough starter to keep things super simple. I used this starter from Cultures for Health to start my culture.
- Air Fryer: I am in love with my air fryer. It’s one of my favorite kitchen appliances. I use it nearly every day to reheat food, cook veggies and chicken, make healthier tortilla chips, and more! It keeps things crispy and makes leftovers so much better.
- Panini Press: I know not everyone needs a panini press, but if you’re looking for the perfect gift for the foodie who has everything, then this is it! My husband got me a panini press a few years ago, and I use it often. It makes the best restaurant-worthy sandwiches, especially when I use some of my homemade sourdough. Just the best!
- Vitamix Blender: I recently decided to upgrade my blender and purchased this Vitamix one. Let me tell you, it is worth every penny. I was skeptical at first and wondered if it would be just a little overpriced, but this is the best blender I’ve ever used. It’s fast, creates the silkiest, smoothest texture, and is so powerful.
- Tortilla Starter Kit: I’ve made a lot of tortillas and tamales over the years, which means I’ve tried and eaten A LOT of masa harina. My all-time favorite in terms of texture, flavor, and quality is this one from Masienda. All of their masa harina varieties come from non-GMO heirloom corn grown in Mexico that’s produced in small batches, and the pure, delicious corn flavor you get from their masa is unmatched. This starter kit comes with two bags of masa harina as well as a tortilla press to make the whole process fun and easy!
Gifts for Her
Iโve rounded up some of my favorite gifts that are sure to make the ladies in your life feel all the love this holiday season. These are tried-and-true picks that I actually own myself!
Here are some of my favorites:
- The Five-Minute Journal: This is a daily gratitude journal designed to help people focus on positivity and mindfulness by dedicating just a few minutes daily to journaling. I first got one back in 2019 and have been using it ever since! It helps me set a positive mindset first thing in the morning and encourages me to focus on 3 achievable goals that I can accomplish each day.
- Amazon Kindle Paperwhite: Last year, I decided to set a goal to read more, and to give myself some extra motivation, I treated myself to a Kindle. It’s been such a wonderful help! It has a long battery life, is very lightweight, and because it’s not bulky, I always have it in my purse!
- Oura Ring: I got this little wellness and fitness wearable a year ago because I’ve never liked wearing my bulky Apple Watch or Fitbit tracker. This little ring is lightweight, water-resistant, and monitors various aspects of health and wellness, including sleep patterns, activity levels, heart rate, stress, and readiness. My husband was a little jealous when I got mine, so he ended up buying one for himself and loves it!
- Neck and Back Massager: My husband bought me one of these for Christmas a few years ago, and I still use it all the time! This massager is amazing for relieving tension at the end of the day.
- Foldable Walking Pad: If you’re looking to get more movement into your day (like 90% of Americans), you should consider getting yourself a walking pad. I purchased this exact one and have it near my work desk. I use it every day I work, and I love that it’s foldable, which makes it easier to store in smaller spaces.
Gifts for Him
Finding the perfect gift for the man who seems to have it all can be a challenge. To help, I’ve teamed up with my husband to curate a list of his personal favorites. These are all things he personally owns and loves!
Here are some of his favorites:
- Magsafe Charger Stand: This sleek stand not only charges his iPhone and Apple Watch wirelessly (and really quickly) but also props them up perfectly for FaceTime calls or watching videos. It’s a game-changer for keeping his desk and nightstand organized.
- The Daily Dad: This thoughtful book is filled with daily insights and reflections on fatherhood. It’s a great way for him to start his day with a dose of wisdom and inspiration. And each page is a quick read!
- Trunk Organizer: This organizer keeps everything in the trunk of his car in its place, from groceries to tools, making road trips and daily commutes much more manageable. He loves it so much, he even got me one for my car.
- Meat Church Seasonings: For the grill master, these seasonings are a must-have. They add incredible flavor to meats and veggies, elevating his BBQ game to the next level. My husband has watched so many of his YouTube videos and swears by these seasonings.
- Sony Noise Canceling Headphones: Whether he’s working from home or just wants to enjoy his music without distractions, these headphones deliver top-notch sound quality and block out unwanted noise. I finally tested out these headphones on an airplane and was shocked at how well they canceled out all the background noise. These are actually on my Christmas list this season!
Gifts for Toddlers
As a fellow mom to a toddler, I know how magical it is to find that perfect gift that lights up their little faces. This holiday season, let’s make their world even more enchanting with these delightful and educational picks:
Here are some of my favorites:
- Yoto Player: This kid-friendly audio player is on my gift list for my 3 1/2-year-old daughter this year. It’s a fantastic way to introduce toddlers to stories, music, and learning without screens. It’s easy for them to use and offers a wide range of content to keep their curious minds engaged.
- Balance Beam: I’m always looking for more ways for my daughter to get out some energy, especially during the winter months when we’re indoors more often. This balance beam is a wonderful tool to help your little one develop balance and coordination while having loads of fun! It also stacks nicely for easy storage, which is super important to me.
- Mini Karaoke Machine: Here’s a fun one that I recently bought for my daughter. It’s a little mini karaoke machine! It’s very portable, holds a charge for a long time, comes in many different colors, and has 2 microphones! Unfortunately, I now need to buy myself some earplugs.
- Build A Garden: My mother-in-law bought my daughter this little fun flower garden last year, and she loves it. It fosters creativity, fine motor skills, and I personally enjoy playing with it as well, so it’s a win-win.
- Art Easel with Paper Roll: This easel is a classic. It comes with a paper roll for endless drawing, a chalkboard, and a whiteboard, providing multiple ways for her to express her creativity. My little one is getting more and more into arts and crafts as she gets older, and this makes art time super easy.
Gifts for White Elephant
I find shopping for a White Elephant gift even more difficult than buying directly for someone sometimes. It’s like I’m shopping for everyone!
Here are some of my favorites:
- Pottery Starter Kit: A creative and unexpected pick thatโll have everyone talking! This kit is perfect for anyone who loves artsy hobbies or is looking to try something new. Bonus points: itโs a gift that turns into an activity, so itโs both fun and functional.
- Wireless Bluetooth Speaker: Who wouldnโt want a mini speaker they can take anywhere? Whether itโs for impromptu dance parties, backyard BBQs, or just vibing solo, this gift is versatile, universally loved, and definitely wonโt get left behind after the party.
- Apple AirTags: For the perpetually forgetful or anyone who jokes about always losing their keys or wallet, AirTags are both practical and funny. Itโs the type of gift that gets laughs during the unwrapping but is genuinely appreciated later!
- Sleep Headphones: This oneโs perfect for anyone who loves their beauty sleep but struggles with noise. Cozy and clever, itโs a thoughtful gift that also works for the jokester who might claim itโs a snore-canceling device for their partner!
- Breathing Buddha Meditation Tool: A conversation starter thatโs also great for promoting mindfulness. Whether itโs for the zen enthusiast or someone whoโs stressed from all the holiday madness, this is a fun way to encourage relaxation and maybe a few laughs about who needs it most!
